Boris Johnson

  • He became Prime Minister on July 24, 2019, and resigned on September 6, 2022, following mounting pressure from within his own party due to a series of scandals, including the Partygate controversy.
  • Before entering politics, Boris had a notable career as a journalist. He worked for several major newspapers.
  • Known for his flamboyant, often controversial persona, Johnson has been a central figure in UK politics. His leadership during the Brexit referendum, significantly impacted his political career.
  • Johnson got stuck on a zip line during the opening of the London 2012 Olympics. He was attached to a zip line to promote the games, however, the zip line got stuck in mid-air, and Johnson was left dangling for several minutes. It became an iconic image of his tenure as Mayor of London.

PR Stunt

Boris Johnson's wax figure was the centre of iconic PR stunt in July 2022 following the Prime Minister's resignation as the Conservative leader. 

His wax figure was spotted outside the Blackpool Job Centre where he was greeted with amusement by the general public.

The stunt was a global hit and Keir Starmer even joked about it during a televised debate with the former Prime Minster.

HRH Queen Elizabeth II

King Charles III’s had a unique journey to the throne with his varied interests and commitments throughout his life.

  • King Charles III is the longest-serving heir apparent in British history. He waited for over 70 years for the throne, as he became king following the passing of his mother, Queen Elizabeth II, in 2022.
  • Charles has long been a vocal advocate for environmental issues. He founded The Prince's Trust and other charitable initiatives focused on sustainability, climate change, and conservation.
  • King Charles III is known for his passion for gardening and organic farming. He has spent years cultivating his gardens at Highgrove House and has promoted organic farming practices.
  • In 1970, Charles became the first member of the British royal family to participate in a radio interview. This was a significant moment as it marked his willingness to engage more directly with the public.
  • King Charles was married to Lady Diana Spencer from 1981 until their divorce in 1996. Together, they had two sons, Prince William and Prince Harry. He later married Camilla Parker Bowles in 2005, who became Queen Consort upon his ascension to the throne.

  • His wax figure was launched on Live on ITV's This Morning on the Coronation Street cobbles during his royal Coronation.
  • His wax figure was paid a visit to the top of The Blackpool Tower to launch the beautiful Tower Top Garden in the summer of 2023.
