Craig Revel Come Dancing at Blackpool

Craig Revel Horwood unveiled his brand-new wax figure, starring at Madame Tussauds Blackpool.
Returning to the spectacular setting and spotlights of the iconic Blackpool Tower Ballroom, Craig could barely believe his eyes as striking show dancers shimmied their feathers away to reveal his wax figure in a show-stopping display featuring sequins and lots of sparkle.
Not only was his perfectly recreated double looking back at him but talking too as he touched his figure’s outstretched arm and heard some of his own famous one-liners quoted back to him.
Born and raised in Australia, Craig has led a successful career as a dancer, choreographer and theatre director, before spinning on to our screens as a dancing judge where he has become popular with viewers for his brutally-honest assessments.
Craig said: “It’s a huge honour to be approached by Madame Tussauds Blackpool and have my own figure created!
“To be a part of the experience from the start and helping to create my figure from top to toe and working on what he’ll say has been fascinating - I love that there’s now two of me to dish out my opinions across the country!”
The interactive wax figure is dressed in a pink sparkly suit and black bowtie to reflect his prominent dancing career.
Visitors now have the exclusive chance to dance and chat with Craig, as his figure features integrated speech technology, a growing feature of new wax figures. Sound bites were recorded of Craig’s most famous lines during the sitting, in order to make visitors’ experience even more realistic.
General Manager, Matthew Titherington, said: “We’re so excited to welcome another world-first wax figure to the attraction! It’s fitting that we have him here in Blackpool and we’ve unveiled the figure at the iconic ballroom as Craig is so linked to us here.
“Craig is one of the most talked-about TV stars, and we know people are going to love getting up close and personal with him as they interact with his figure.”
