Australia’s most requested wax figure, Harry Styles arrives at Madame Tussauds Sydney

The unveiling of Australia’s most requested wax figure, Harry Styles, caused a colourful fan frenzy today at Coogee Beach’s iconic performance location, Rainbow Walkway.

One of seven Harry Styles figures simultaneously launched around the globe by Madame Tussauds, Harry’s Australian figure sports an iconic look made famous at his San Jose performance. He dons an electric pink shirt, hot pink velvet trousers, accessorised with Harry-inspired jewellery and a signature pink feather boa!

Madame Tussauds Sydney revealed Harry to a large crowd of ‘Harries’, wearing signature feather boas, at an ocean-side event with dancers and a live Harry-oke band, enjoying the opportunity to serenade their hero’s wax double.

The event was emceed by Manekha Balgobin, who was recently dubbed ‘Australia’s biggest Harry Styles fan’, having been to over twenty five concerts across Australia and New Zealand.

“I couldn’t have imagined such an incredible Harry Styles event to be a part of! Standing eye-to-eye with his incredible wax figure was just like seeing the real Harry!"

The reveal comes one day before Harry takes centre-stage of Madame Tussauds Sydney’s musical artist zone - Sydney Live! on Wednesday 19 July 2023. He stands in one of Harry’s most joyful poses, with a beaming grin and arms stretched wide, ready to entertain his fans.

Mikayla McGlone, Operations Manager at Madame Tussauds Sydney, said, “Harry Styles has consistently been Australia’s most requested figure! We received thousands of requests, so I’m thrilled that we have made it happen – finally, Harry is in the house!" 

Madame Tussauds extensive creative team of 20 skilled artists, including sculptors, colourists, hairdressers, and stylists contributed to all seven of Harry’s figures, which took approximately six months to create, representing the celebrity in diverse and prominent poses that capture his most iconic looks.

The seven Harry Styles comprise the biggest multi-figure launch undertaken since Lady Gaga globally 12 years ago and can now be seen in Madame Tussauds Sydney, Madame Tussauds Hollywood, Madame Tussauds New York, Madame Tussauds London, Madame Tussauds Amsterdam, Madame Tussauds Berlin and Madame Tussauds Singapore.
