Get ready to flip out! Australian drummer, singer, songwriter and icon G Flip will be the latest celebrity to be immortalised in wax. This is an exciting milestone for Madame Tussauds Sydney, as this will be Australia’s first non-binary wax figure.

Inspired by their DRUMMER album, G Flip’s wax figure will be seated on top of a Yamaha bass drum and guests will be able to join them in the spotlight, creating their own electric performance, rocking out on their favourite drum kit, a Yamaha Absolute Hybrid Maple.

G Flip’s world-first figure will be unveiled exclusively at Madame Tussauds Sydney in 2025 as the latest headliner to join the Darling Harbour attraction’s music zone – Sydney Live!

Sharing their excitement, G Flip said, “It’s very surreal to get a Madame Tussauds wax figure! Representation has never been more important and it’s a true honour to be the first non-binary celebrity to have their own wax figure at Madame Tussauds Sydney. I’m very grateful for this honour - and pretty stoked to have another G out in the world!”

General Manager of Madame Tussauds Sydney, Richard Dilly, added, “We are thrilled to celebrate G Flip’s remarkable music career and global cultural impact. Honouring G Flip with a wax figure recognises their contribution to the arts and is a huge win for our guests, who adore G and have been increasingly requesting their figure in the attraction. G is an absolute global superstar, and we can’t wait for them to take centre stage at Madame Tussauds Sydney and continue inspiring guests with their incredible legacy.”

The colour matching of skin, teeth, hair and eyes is a key part of the sitting and because G’s eye colour is so unique and changes in different lights, the Madame Tussauds team brought significantly more options to help ensure the exact colour was produced.

During the seven-hour sitting, which took place in Sydney, a team of eight from Madame Tussauds took 100 measurements and 300 photographs of G Flip, not to mention carefully selecting their eye colour as it’s so unique! The creation of G Flip’s wax figure will take about ten months. During this time, a team of highly skilled sculptors will spend approximately 170 hours moulding the figure before each individual hair is inserted and colourists will add the finishing touches before the official unveiling in 2025.
