Sydney is a stunning city; full of beautiful close-ups and lovely long shots. Undoubtedly one of the most photogenic places on the planet, in this city, you’re spoilt for your pick of pics. We’ve done the hard work for you; hunted down the best spots to snap an Insta-Worthy photo.
CELEBRITIES
If you’re into selfies with Aussie, and Hollywood icons, you can’t go past Madame Tussauds Sydney. Featuring more than 70 wax figures; from local legends to the stars of Tinseltown, Bollywood, some Superheroes and even Royalty – immerse in this interactive experience. See multi-Grammy Award-winning singer, Adele, take the throne next to Kate and William or sit at a desk in Obama’s Oval Office. This is the place to get close to the biggest names on the global stage. Go on set with local stars like Liam and Chris Hemsworth, or heel it down the catwalk with Megan Gale. Have your phone on-hand to capture some celebrity snaps so convincing; they pass for the real thing! And don’t forget to hang around upside down with Spider-Man, and take a shot to share on your socials.
LOCAL LIFE
If you want to capture a slice of Sydney life, to frame-and-click everything that sums up this city, you can’t go past a visit to North Sydney Olympic Pool. And that’s not just because it’s a great spot to swim during the searing summer months; it’s also a top spot to get a photo of this iconic pool, set against the arching Sydney Harbour Bridge. It’s a very Sydney sight.
NATURE
For a fantastic freeze frame of Sydney’s natural gifts, your best bet is to go anywhere along the Bondi to Coogee Walk. Meandering six kilometres along the cliff tops, you can snap some of the most jaw-dropping vistas this city has up its sleeve. Sweeping views, gorgeous beaches, cliffs, sheltered bays, boutique shopping, fabulous eating and drinking spots, cool cafes and even some rock pools all make this walk wonderful. Remember to pack your H2O and slap on some sunscreen while you take your pick of panoramas to capture on your camera roll.
ARCHITECTURE
There are no two structures in the world quite like Sydney’s architectural aces. The Sydney Harbour Bridge and the Sydney Opera House are two icons you need to capture. But what if we told you there’s a place you can get both of these beauties in one incredible shot? Head straight to Mrs Macquarie's Chair to frame them both, along with a gorgeous harbour foreground and a (finger’s crossed), big blue sky. And speaking of the sky – for a unique bird’s eye view of some sensational Sydney landmarks, take a pic from Sydney Tower Eye. At 250 metres above street level, there’s no better spot to get snap-happy!
WILDLIFE
Before you hit the Sydney streets to get your Insta-Worthy shots, pre-book your visit to WILD LIFE Sydney Zoo and lock-in your Breakfast with the Koalas on our Koala Rooftop. Alongside your helping of bacon and eggs, get some seriously special selfie’s and close-up pics of these marsupials, and hear an informative Koala keeper talk. Between 7.15am and 9am, every day, this is a one-of-a-kind way to feast on your brekky fare in fabulously furry company.
So that’s all the Sydney must-have pics you can capture and share on your socials.
