The backdrop was built in close cooperation with IP-Media and was inspired by the successful TV programme ‘Starnacht’, which takes place annually at Lake Neusiedl, Lake Wörthersee and in the Wachau region. The wax figures of Starnacht presenters Hans Sigl and Barbara Schöneberger are represented, as are Swiss singer Beatrice Egli, who is wearing a dress donated by Irene Luft, Andreas Gabalier and his harmonica, Udo Jürgens on the piano, Peter Alexander, Christina Stürmer and Hansi Hinterseer.

A specially built Instagram frame and a unicorn as a photo opportunity, embedded in the picturesque landscape of Lake Wörthersee in Carinthia, create an interactive festival feeling.

"Madame Tussauds Vienna is proud to be able to present the greatest stars of the pop world. It was very important to us to capture the starry night feeling of the programme and incorporate it into our backdrop. The programme is always very popular with the public and we hope that the new area will make fans‘ hearts beat faster", says Lukas Rauscher, Marketing Manager of Madame Tussauds Vienna.

Johann Pittermann, Managing Director of Kaiser Wiesn, and pop singer Pablo Grande were also guests and talked about future projects and the upcoming Kaiser Wiesn 2024. To officially unveil the area, a beer tapping ceremony was also held, which was performed by Mr Pittermann himself.

Guests can now see the newly opened festival area at Madame Tussauds in Vienna until the end of October.
