About Beatrice

• Born in Switzerland, she grew up in a musical family and took singing lessons at the age of 14. Thanks to her talent, she was soon to be seen on stage at various folk festivals.
• In 2005, she came second at the ‘Alpenschlager-Festival’. Two years later, as a duo with Lys Assia, she won the Swiss people's vote for the ‘Grand Prix der Volksmusik’ with the song ‘Sag mir wo wohnen die Engel’.
• As she was still at the beginning of her career, she first trained as a hairdresser and later attended drama school in Hamburg.
• In 2013, Beatrice took part in the tenth season of ‘Deutschland sucht den Superstar’ and won first place with her pop song ‘Mein Herz’. Since then, she has released several albums, including ‘Glücksgefühle’ (2013), ‘Pure Lebensfreude’ (2014) and ‘Kick im Augenblick’ (2017).

Festival Fashion

The wax figure shows Beatrice Egli in a transparent black and blue dress, which was specially made for the likeness by designer Irene Luft. It was important to Beatrice that her outfit was ‘gaudy’ on the one hand and robust on the other. She also wears high heels studded with Swarovski stones. To match her dynamic pose, she carries a microphone in her left hand as an accessory.
