Hansi Hinterseer poses with his wax figure at Madame Tussauds™ Vienna
Did you know...?
- The multi-talented Tyrolean is known far beyond the borders of his homeland for his numerous hits. He has been married to Romana from Switzerland since 1986. The couple have two daughters - Jessica and Laura.
- Hansi Hinterseer was an internationally recognised skier before he began his music career. Between 1973 and 1977, he won six World Cups in slalom and giant slalom. In 1994, he made his first TV appearance as a popular pop singer on ‘Musikantenstadl’ with the hit parade victory of his debut single ‘Du hast mich heut noch nicht geküsst’. ‘I am lucky enough to be able to share my love of nature and our mountains with people through music’ - says Hansi Hinterseer. This is reflected not only in 5 million records sold, full concert halls and dream ratings for his TV shows, but also in gold, platinum and the ‘Krone der Volksmusik’ award (6 times to date).
- His legendary open-air concerts with fan hikes in Kitzbühel, which he organised in his home town for ten years, have also achieved cult status. The popular star is also a successful actor. The sitting for the wax figure took place in Tyrol in July 2013.
