  • Yip Pin Xiu is a Singaporean five-time Paralympic gold champion who made her debut at the 2008 Beijing Paralympic Games. She has consistently set world records in the 50m backstroke S2 and 100m backstroke S2.
  • Yip was diagnosed at aged two years old with Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease which causes progressive weakening of her muscles. It was at the age of 5 when she started swimming and quickly discovered her talent for the sport and began competing internationally.
  • Yip’s dedication, talent, and positive spirit has made her a respected figure in the world of sports. She is also a strong advocate for people with disabilities.
