It’s been a year since Harry Styles' final Love On Tour performance in Reggio Emilia, Italy, and we are still not over it!! Love on Tour became the fourth highest grossing tour of all time with record breaking sell out performances in LA’s Forum, Madison Square Gardens and Wembley and his final performance seeing an audience of over 100,000 Harries come together to celebrate the love we all share for the one and only Harry Styles. A year on and we are still not over it, so here’s a list of the top Harry Styles coded things to do in London…
1. Meet the man himself!
Okay we can’t promise that you’ll meet the real Harry, but here at Madame Tussauds London we have the next best thing! We welcomed our Harry figure home to Baker Street and he’s here waiting to meet you all, dressed in his green suit from The Policeman premier. We have every detail covered from the hair down to the rings. Get up close to the one and only Harry Styles and take your selfie to relive this moment forever. We have 8 immersive zones for you to enjoy and we got.. we got the cinema. Yes that’s right – as well as over 150 lifelike celebrity figures including Harry Styles, we also have a taxi ride and a Marvel Universe 4D cinema. Don’t forget to pick up some chocolate covered strawberries on the way in for your Harry ‘styled’ sweet treat.
2. Hire a Lime bike
Tubes and trains are great to navigate your way round London particularly as a first-time visitor, but if you’re feeling adventurous or just want to travel in true ‘style’ we’d recommend hiring a Lime Bike – or at least for part of your journey. Harry has been spotted many a time enjoying a ride on a Lime Bike, whether it’s by himself or with friends such as James Corden, and we can see why. They’re easy to use and can be a cost-effective way of travelling round the UK’s capital, whilst getting to see some beautiful scenery or discovering some hidden gems you might miss on the tube. All you need to do is download the app, select and locate your vehicle from the map, set up your account and away you go!
3. Get some merch from Camden Market
Camden Market has been open since 1974 and is renowned for being one of London’s hubs for culture and diversity, as well as its rich history of trade, music and fashion. From 16 stalls, to now a whopping 1000 stalls there is so much to do here from shopping retro fashion, arts and crafts or trying something delicious from their award-winning street food stands. Amongst all of this and more, you’ll find the cutest Harry Styles merch from the viral, TikTok trending ‘Harryland’, selling everything from T-shirts and tote bags, to pin badges and artwork. There’s a bespoke piece of Harry merch to take home for every fan here – we are obsessed!
4. Eat in 'Style'
We’ve got you covered whether you’re after breakfast, lunch, dinner or drinks, as London is filled with Harry’s favourite eateries. Maple syrup, coffee and pancakes for two? Coming right up as you head to Hampstead creperie. This is the perfect spot for a wholesome breakfast or brunch, notoriously known for being one of Harry’s favourites in his London hometown. For lunch, head over to Piccadilly Circus and visit the Hard Rock Café, where you’ll be able to take a photo with the infamous one direction phone box that featured on the band’s 2012 ‘Take Me Home’ album cover. After a long day of Harry hunting, you’ll be feeling hungry so why not check out Lemonia - a family run restaurant situated in Primrose Hill, where you’ll be served some authentic Greek cuisine that has been approved by Harry himself. Lastly, head over to Sketch London – arguably one of the quirkiest venues London has to offer. Dripped head to toe in art, beautiful interior and offerings from afternoon tea to a Michelin star restaurant, there is something for everyone in this incredibly unique Mayfair setting – and one definitely not to be missed! Visit one or visit them all, you’ll be sure to have a taste of what its like to live like Harry for a day.
5. Recreate your own music video
Harry Styles is undoubtably one of the most iconic music legends of all time, and one of his most successful singles was, of course – As It Was. As It Was, broke Spotify and Guiness World Records for the most streamed track in 24 hours, and also managed stay at number 1 for 15 weeks in the Billboard Top 100 chart. The song is iconic and so is the music video, featuring a few locations in London. Get your cowboy hat and your feather boas ready as its your turn to create your own!
First head to the Barbican Centre found in the heart London. More than just its beautiful architecture, the Barbican is the ‘catalyst of creativity’ offering workshops, free activities, conference facilities and anything that inspires the arts and learning. Whilst there is so much to see and do here, it is also a beautiful space for creating content – and music videos apparently. London Zoo also had a unique feature in the As It Was music video, as Harry recorded part of it in the original penguin pool. Though this isn’t accessible to the public, London Zoo is still worth the visit knowing that Harry was there right?!
6. Go for a swim
Make the most of the summer weather and go for a dip in the Hampstead Heath duck ponds. Hampstead Heath is Harry’s London home and worth a visit anyway, but it is also where he was spotted going for a swim in the local ponds. Cool off in the pond itself or bring a picnic, a book and some friends and sit on the bank for a wholesome afternoon in the sun.
7. Visit Holmes Chapel
If you’ve got the time, why not take a trip to Holmes Chapel where it all began for Harry. Holmes Chapel is a quaint village in Cheshire that can be reached via a 2-hour train from London and is where our much-adored Harry grew up. Either walk yourself through the village and picturesque landscapes or join a bespoke Harry themed walking tour that will take you on a trip through Harry’s childhood. Whilst you are here you must visit W.Mandeville Bakery. This is where Harry worked as a teenager, and it has become a hotspot ever since he told the world how much he loved working there in his X Factor audition back in 2010. Stop in for a pastry and learn all about Harry’s humble beginnings.
There is so much to see and do in London to help us cure our Harry craving for the time being. Whether you make a jam-packed day of it or spread it out across multiple wholesome days out, there’s something for every type of Harrie to enjoy until the next tour we are hoping and praying for.
