A ‘Striking’ Resemblance: Football Icon Kylian Mbappé Joins Madame Tussauds London’s All-Star Lineup
- Thursday 27th March 2025
International footballing phenomenon, Kylian Mbappé, scores a spot at Madame Tussauds London, adding to our attraction’s legacy of immortalising global superstars.
Footage released today shows the moment Mbappé came face-to-face with his new figure in his hometown, Madrid. The new figure will be available for fans to meet at Madame Tussauds London from Friday 4th April.
On the launch of his new Madame Tussauds London figure, Kylian Mbappé said: “Woah this is incredible! To have a Madame Tussauds figure in the UK is so special. The artists are so talented - the hair, the pose, it looks just like me, it’s surreal! I keep thanking the team for their incredible work, and I can’t wait to hear what fans think when they can see it in real life.”
Expertly crafted by our expert artists, the figure holds Mbappé’s signature arms-crossed celebration pose. The figure is dressed in France’s national team away kit alongside shin pads and captain’s armband to complete the on-target look, all donated by Mbappé himself from UEFA Euro 2024.
The footballing sensation collaborated with our highly skilled team throughout the months-long process. This included sitting for hundreds of measurements and reference information so our artists could capture Mbappé’s infectious energy in pain-staking precision to ensure the new figure is matchday ready for fans to meet.
Arriving in time for the Easter holidays in the UK, we're offering young fans the chance to ‘meet’ their hero for free. From Friday 4th to Monday 21st April, any child under 16 wearing an official Mbappé shirt to our attraction - whether that be the French National Team, Real Madrid, PSG, or Monaco – can claim a free entry ticket. (T&Cs apply)
Kylian Mbappé is the star-man for two of the world’s most iconic football teams: Real Madrid and France. Throughout his career, Kylian Mbappé has amassed numerous accolades for his club sides and the French national team. Known for his powerful dribbling and trademark celebration, Mbappé is a modern-day sporting idol, and his influence spans far beyond football. His legacy shines through his philanthropic efforts, notably through his association Inspired by KM, which works to support and guide young people in their cultural, civic, sports, culinary, and environmental education.
Mbappé’s figure will arrive at our Baker Street attraction just before the man himself lands in London, as Real Madrid is set to face Arsenal in the UEFA Champions League on Tuesday 8th April.
On welcoming the footballing powerhouse to its lineup, Steve Blackburn, General Manager at Madame Tussauds London said: “Kylian Mbappé is more than a football player, he’s a modern-day cultural icon at the peak of his career, and we’re delighted his figure is coming to England, the home of football. We’ve been working with Mbappé to capture every detail of his trademark stance, his grin, the twinkle in his eye. Kylian also kindly donated his French away kit, boots, shin pads, and captain’s armband to us, something we are immensely grateful for and means the figure couldn’t be more realistic! Witnessing Mbappé’s reaction to his immortalised-self was incredible, and we can’t wait to see his international fanbase celebrate alongside his new figure too!”
This is Mbappé’s second Madame Tussauds figure to date with his first launching at Madame Tussauds Berlin in May 2024.
The new Kylian Mbappé figure will feature in Madame Tussauds London’s Culture Capital zone from Friday 4th April. He joins other icons at the attraction who have helped to shape sporting culture worldwide including Cristiano Ronaldo, Sir Lewis Hamilton, Mary Earps MBE, Mo Salah, and David Beckham OBE.
