Madame Tussauds London is ‘striking’ it lucky! Our imagery released today confirms the imminent arrival of international sports-star, Kylian Mbappé.

After legendary FIFA World Cup Final performances for France, and a recent transfer to Real Madrid in July 2024, the global sensation will arrive in figure-form in the UK– the home of football – at our renowned attraction in Baker Street, London, in time for the Easter holidays.

The footballing icon himself worked collaboratively with our talented studio team throughout the months-long process, sitting for head-to-toe measurements to ensure an exact likeness for his new London figure.

Kylian Mbappé first burst onto the scene for AS Monaco aged 16 and is now known worldwide for his lightning-quick speed, clinical finishing, and famous celebration. The star has scored countless record-breaking moments in his football career from becoming the second teenager ever to score in a World Cup Final, to scoring a hattrick in the 2022 FIFA World Cup Final, winning the Golden Boot in the process; and becoming Paris Saint Germain’s all-time top goal-scorer. Beyond his footballing accolades, Mbappé is recognised for his charity work notably in support of young people, through his association Inspired by KM. The sporting hero is one of Time Magazine’s 100 most influential people in the world and remains a global powerhouse across sport and beyond.

This figure launch is a first for our attraction, and Mbappé’s second figure across the global Madame Tussauds estate, with his first figure launching in Madame Tussauds Berlin in May 2024.

On his first-ever Madame Tussauds London figure, international footballer, Kylian Mbappé said: “I’ve been collaborating with Madame Tussauds London for a few months now and I’m so excited to see the finished figure that’ll join the London line up! I was blown away by the Madame Tussauds Berlin figure, it looks so much like me that it's almost unsettling – and now, there will be another one! The UK's love for football is incredible, with truly passionate fans, so having my figure in London alongside legends is both amazing and a tremendous honour!"

Arriving in time for the Easter holidays in the UK, we're excited to be running a free entry offer for Mbappé super fans when the figure joins our attraction. Any child (under 16) wearing an official Mbappé shirt to our attraction - whether that be the French National Team, PSG, Real Madrid, or Monaco – will be given a free entry ticket, enabling young fans to ‘meet’ their hero for free.

Madame Tussauds London is in the heart of Baker Street and can easily be accessed by public transport from London’s surrounding airports and Eurostar station. With flights at just a couple of hours from European countries such as France, Spain, Italy, Germany – London makes the perfect city break destination.

Steve Blackburn, General Manager at Madame Tussauds London said: “Kylian Mbappé is one of the biggest names in men’s international football, spearheading two iconic teams: France and Real Madrid. We feel like we’ve hit the back of the net being able to work directly with the star to craft his figure! Working with Mbappé throughout the making of his first Madame Tussauds London figure has been amazing – he’s been so patient while we’ve been asking him to sit still for the sitting when he’s so used to being active and running around the pitch! We can’t wait to welcome fans from across the globe to strike a pose alongside this footballing superstar.”

The new Kylian Mbappé figure will feature in Madame Tussauds London’s Culture Capital zone. He joins other icons at our attraction who have helped to shape sporting culture worldwide including Cristiano Ronaldo, Sir Lewis Hamilton, Mary Earps MBE, Mo Salah and David Beckham OBE.
