Mo Farah meets his wax figure after victory lap on the London Eye
- Sunday 13th August 2017
On Sunday 13th August we teamed up with the Coca-Cola London Eye to celebrate the incredible career of Sir Mo Farah following his final championship race at the IAAF Athletics World Championships in London.
As the sun rose, the Olympic legend surveyed his home town and home stadium for one last time from the very top of the London Eye. The undisputed king of British Athletics, Mo Farah's victory lap at 135 metres-high followed the London Eye turning red, white and blue as Mo crossed the finishing line on Saturday evening.
After his voyage on the London Eye, Mo came face-to-face with his Madame Tussauds wax figure and reclaimed his famous 'Mobot' pose for one last time.
Orchestrating this stunning moment required London Eye technicians, a helicopter, and a team of experts to achieve the audacious feat as well as the talented team of Madame Tussauds studio artists to bring the wax figure out of the attraction for this special celebration.
