Timothée Chalamet's first-ever figure chimes in new era of leading men at Madame Tussauds London
- Wednesday 22nd May 2024
Today we're excited to be unveiling the first-ever figure of actor and Gen Z’s leading man, Timothée Chalamet. Continuing our attraction’s legacy of immortalising the evolution of Hollywood’s standout talent throughout the decades, Timothée’s new figure will debut this May.
The actor’s figure arrives at our Baker Street attraction hot on the heels of the release of his latest blockbuster, Dune: Part Two, solidifying his status as one of Hollywood's most sought-after talents.
Cool and charismatic, Chalamet has become the leading man for a new generation. Through his openness, vulnerability and playful approach to role picking, interviews, and fashion choices he challenges the stereotypes of what it means to be a ‘Hollywood heartthrob’ and has won over legions of loyal fans in the process.
The critically acclaimed actor rose to fame thanks to his prodigious performances in cult classics and big-budget blockbusters alike, including Lady Bird (2017), Call Me By Your Name (2017), Little Women (2019), Netflix’s Don’t Look Up (2021), Bones and All (2022) and more recently in Wonka (2023).
His name is just as likely to be featured on best-dressed lists as it is on awards nominations, and Chalamet’s new figure is no different. Chalamet chose his slick Alexander McQueen look from the London 2021 premiere of Dune: Part One for his first Madame Tussauds figure. The suit was donated by the design house and fans will swoon to know the look is completed with Chalamet’s very own Alexander McQueen boots gifted to the attraction by the star himself.
Our expert artists took nine months to create the figure, including meticulously sculpting his chiselled cheekbones and painstakingly inserting each individual strand of hair to craft his trademark luscious curls.
Jo Kinsey, Studio Manager at Madame Tussauds London, said: “Timothée Chalamet is an amazing talent and a wonder to watch on screen. But more than that, we chose to immortalise him because we feel he defines the new face of fame for Gen Z.
“Stylish, talented, and unafraid to show emotion off-screen, Chalamet challenges what it means to be a Hollywood leading man in 2024. His ability to portray a variety of characters that are inclusive, intimate and vulnerable, while also breaking expected societal norms himself as a male Hollywood star in the public eye, is why he is a constant topic of conversation, and why his fans love him.
“We are honoured to immortalise him in London and to be the first to sculpt and style those famous cheekbones and curls. We can’t wait for fans to meet the figure; they will be queuing around the attraction for selfies!”
Timothée Chalamet’s figure will join fellow Hollywood superstars Zendaya, John Boyega, Leonardo DiCaprio, Dwayne Johnson, and Priyanka Chopra in the attraction from Friday 24th May.
