Gaining knowledge goes beyond the classroom! Combine learning with fun to enhance the impact on your student’s school life through field trip activities in Singapore. Below we share 5 exciting field trip places and things to do with kids in Singapore, bringing history, science and culture to life. These will create an unforgettable educational experience for your students.

1. Have a fun-filled educational field trip to Sensoryscape!

Students will get to engage their 5 senses at this new attraction! With various interactive exhibits, students can unleash playfulness and explore the area to their heart's content. From feeling different textures of plants to allowing their sense of smell and hearing to take over. It will no doubt be a memorable experience for them.

As they will likely miss the nighttime VR (Virtual Reality) experiences, students will get a chance to “bring” their family to explore further at night.

2. Dive into Singapore's history in a fun setting at Madame Tussauds Singapore

Enjoy a unique and fun field trip at Madame Tussauds Singapore, a historic building that once served as barracks for Japanese troops during World War II.

Students will not only marvel at the detailed wax figures of popular stars but also delve into Singapore’s history through immersive experiences in the Images of Singapore zone and the Spirit of Singapore Boat Ride!

The Images of Singapore guides students to experience life during WWII and learn about the coolies, our pioneers of Singapore. (Challenge your friends to a strength test by pulling the rope to lift the box as high as you can!).

Meanwhile, the Spirit of Singapore Boat Ride showcases iconic attractions of Singapore and explores the history of different cultures, including the Chinese Wayang Stage and lion dance.

Students can also meet iconic leaders at the History & Leaders Zone, such as Mr Lee Kwan Yew, the founding father of Singapore, and take photos with him and his wife. There are also two programmes at Madame Tussauds Singapore to choose from 1) Free & Easy and 2) Guided Tour, promising an exciting educational field trip for students and teachers alike!

3. Learn about World War 2 at Fort Siloso

Head down to Fort Siloso after Madame Tussauds Singapore to extend their  educational journey. Suitable for pre-school, primary and secondary school students they can travel back in time and uncover Singapore’s rich history during World War II. While they witness the collection of coastal guns, they can also enjoy a scenic stroll along the 11-story Skywalk trail among the treetops.

Students will learn about the coastal fort’s crucial role in Singapore’s defence and explore the remains of fortified military structures, guns and tunnels used during the war. Then, venture into the newly revamped surrender chambers, featuring six interactive zones that detail the Japanese invasion and their eventual surrender at the end of WW2.

Conclude the journey with a cable car ride where students can further enjoy breathtaking views of Sentosa.

*Alternatively, schools can opt for free day tours at Fort Siloso every 2nd & 3rd Saturday of the month.
